“ It’s a little scary to think about it now and I’m glad that experience is behind me. Although I had studied architecture, precious little was taught at the university that prepared me for being a general contractor. When I was introduced to Akiko Yoshida,I was in a difficult spot. I had just bought a late 19th Century mansion in Manhattan that have been hacked into 10 small apartments. The key to the project was to restore the building’s old world charm.
